The French Laundry in N. California
And this is the famous N. California wine country small restaurant: The French Laundry...for years when the town ruled you could not serve liquor within two miles of town it became instead of a small bar a bawdy house which was okay then eventually what we'd call a dry cleaners (French Laundry) until two famous S.Fran. chefs bought it and turned it into a top 50 in the world restaurant for serious foodies only...and the bill matches the food quality.....it's in the wine country N. of San Fran and the Golden Gate Bridge. Much of their veggies come from their gardens across the road run by horticulturalists they employ. We watched them harvesting leaves with scissors for one evening's meals.....very carefully. My net worth would never have gotten us reservations for two in one year or two year's lead time.
I lived in the San Francisco Bay area from 1971 - 1981, so it was fun to revisit memories of wine country with your two series. Along with your central WA photos and Quoddy Head, Maine, it appears you have traveled most corners of the country!
Your photographic style seems to be more documentary/reality (as opposed to fanciful or heavily edited), so photo stories such as you shared here work well IMO.
Hope you're enjoying UHH and welcome to the little "coffee shop" of For Your Consideration!

Don't think I'll be eating there; but it is interesting to see. My favorite of these photos is the third shot with the wine grapes. All your photos, however, work well with the story of the restaurant. Looking forward to seeing more. Enjoy the section.

that's just here....many other photos including some as modern art......when I travel I see so many interesting things......
you should see the art in giclee form on the walls of my home here...majority my images...varied subjects, colors, etc.
It looks like you enjoy finding obscure corners to scrummage around in. If there's such a thing as hackneyed mainstream photography, this is a possible antidote.
