They'll be sorry. It's a long way down for a flock of new chicks.
I never saw a Canada Goose in a tree before.

I don't know if these are the same two geese are not, but they been using this nest for the past two years. I watched Eagles in this nest prior to the take over by the geese. I didn't think
Geese could land in trees, but they sure made a believer out of me.

Perhaps they were looking for a nest that would be safer from foxes, cats, etc. Hope it is over water.

It is next to the Clark Fork River. I would sure like to see how the chicks are going to leave the nest.

Check out "duckumentary". Wood ducks not geese, but the same issue with a big first step leaving the nest.

Very nice set and we had geese nesting in a osprey nest for several seasons , until a pair of ospreys decided to reclaim it!

Thanks for looking. Missoula had the same problem with geese taking over an osprey nest. They built a wire mesh around the nest to keep the geese out. I guess it worked.
