My YN568EX quit syncing in the middle of a shoot. It doesn't work on either D7100 so I know it's not the camera. I can find no repair facility on the internet. Do any of you Yongnuo owners know where I can send it or is it a throw-away?

I think it's likely a throw away. Did you get yours from China or was there a US distributor?

My kids got it for me a few years ago and I'm sure they don't remember where they got it.

Yeah, I think you're out of luck, that's one reason they are so cheap, if they break you just toss 'em!

Just think of the money save buying cheap tools, and the embarrassment of the failure. Why would you want to get it repaired?

Definitely a throw away. It would cost you more to fix it than to buy a new one which will likely be an improved version of your old one.

Buy another. Hell, buy two, so you have a spare! They aren't worth fixing unless you TRULY know how, and have exact replacement parts. "No user serviceable parts inside..."

This is $93 new on Amazon. Repair would probably cost $200. IF it is a simple fix like replacing a connector, you might find that the local "fix-it" shops that are springing up could fix it, but their minimal charge is going to be about $60 (I had one replace the charging port on my iPhone and was very pleased with their work). But if you aren't sure what the problem is, the cost to even figure that out may be more than a new one is worth.

Pick up the newer YN-685 it has the radio receiver already built in. I use Yongnuo's and so far haven't had one break on me but the way I look at it I can buy 5 of these for the price of one high end speed light so I really don't worry that much when I use it. In the end I get the same results from my Yongnuo's as I did with my Nikons.

In the junk pile. My $170 Yongnuo speed light quit, they ignored an e-mail. Take the loss and run.
