This is right out of the camera - I found this landscape while looking for something I had taken with this kit lens. The files say- 18mm but 28.7- 35mm equivalent- f9 - 100 iso 1/200
Personally I am happy with the results.

Thanks Jaymatt and Ballsafire for your kind words and you too Bob as I have watched your posts and respect you input.
Generally I would've cropped this some and tried to sharpen it before posting but I wanted to leave it alone for C&C.

Nicely done Harvey. It makes much of this derogatory discussion about 'kit' lenses a moot point.

It seems to at times in some of my images - often enough for me to not feel an upgrade is needed.

Were Faith and Charity (yes, folks; there is a string of three beautiful valleys) just as dry? Has that brook in Hope dried up?

OMG! A few (well, maybe more than a few) years ago, you could step across those bricks just about anywhere; but the brookies were just the right size for light tackle and they were delicious! Or is that, by any chance, the west fork of the Carson River? I'm talking about those random little brooks just east of Burnside Road.
