Yes! My evac was at night and unsecured. Made it to 27th Surg in Chu Lai w no pulse or respiration. Had lacerated ascending aorta.
There should be a special monument to these courageous aviators. Of course, there were no un-courageous aviation crews there-not that I saw.

I am a Vietnam vet, but was assigned out of the country. I had not hear of "Dustoff". I googled it and found this: http://chuckandlorene.com/
