To users of Phocus, any opinions as an editing tool, eg; PhotoShop? Is it compatible with Mac's Sierra? Does it work? Intuitively? "Free" always worries me.

I've downloaded it and used it just enough to assess it's value. It's worth the effort. It's similar to LR, works from RAW images, and produces good quality. Along with the free download is a free learning curve.

Has anyone tried FastStone? I've read good things about it, but I can't even get it to open on my Mac Pro. Is it possible it's only a PC product? Or am I even lamer around a computer than my wife thinks I am.

I have been using FastStone for 6 months; I find it quite good for importing and organizing, and basic editing. And, yes, it runs on my PC.

If you are referring to FastStone your Mac won't open it because it is PC only.
