Shakey Loc: Traveling again to Norway and other places.

Thanks for the memories, repleo. In the Cairngorms of Scotland there is a bothy named Jean's Hut. It was constructed in memory of a local lassie who loved to walk the highlands. Unfortunately, she was caught out by a storm and plummeting temperatures, fell asleep and died. Our American walking group sheltered there for one night of high winds and freezing cold. We were glad to share the hut with walkers from three countries. Glad to have the opportunity to say thanks to the organization who maintain the buildings.

Csand and Shakey. Glad you found it interesting. I think my hiking days are over, but I found the article very tempting. Some of the Bothies seem to be in such beautiful unspoiled locations.
