African Spotted Eagle Owl on the garden wall.

We have moved into our last house in Constantia, Cape Town before we head back to the UK next Saturday. It is a small area with 10 houses. A lady pointed over to a large tree and said two owls live there. The parents have been bringing their babies here for ten years, then leaving them and flying away. These are six months old. They are used to people and I had a conversation with the one who came to sit on the wall early evening time. I only needed the short lens as it let me get that close.
The other one is quite shy and keeps mostly hidden, but I managed a shot with the 300 at the top of the tree. It is heavily cropped but I love the eyes.
The Spotted Eagle Owl is the smallest of the Eagle Owls. 18" long, 39-55" wing span, weighing between 1.1 - 1.9lbs.
Canon 650d, 70-300 lens, 18-55 lens.

Linda if I had a tail I would wag it!! I couldn't believe it, I was hoping it would turn around so I could get some feet in.
Your great comments are so appreciated, pleased you enjoyed the series, thank you very much.
These are amazing captures Sylvia. The difference in lighting and poses makes each one unique. It must have been a fun experience to be so close.
