Epson printer question

I am considering the purchase of an Epson Artisan 1430 wide format photo printer, if you have one, are you happy with it, is it still printing good after a year and would you buy another one ?
And I do appreciate your responses.

Personally I think you would be better served with a Canon Pixma Pro 100. 8 cartridges in the Canon vs 6 in the Epson and a lot less worry about clogging your print heads. The pro 100 is an excellent color printer and also does some pretty good black and white as well. On top of that after rebates it will only cost you $129.00. Check it out.

I'll do some serious research on that model, and,
Thank you for the suggestion.

I have the 1430 and have been quite pleased with it. I'd buy it again.

I also have a 1430 but it is, what, 3 or 4 years old? I suspect Epson will be replacing it soon with an updated model. I have been very happy with it. Cartridges last a good while - I don't print a lot of photos but enough to make the convenience worth the extra expense. The wireless function, once setup, has been flawless and the print quality is good. I only use Epson replacements cartridges though there are plenty of 3rd party vendor that people like. I've had mine about 3 years and it still prints great, I haven't had any problems with clogged print heads and color is good.

Thank you very much, your reply pleases me, during my research on that model I found one review where the lady was very disappointed. Yes they probably will come out with a new model pretty soon but this one can be bought for 299.00 , will do what I want and it fits my budget. It just crossed my mind, do you know if it's compatible with windows 10 ?
Thank you,
Frank

I can't say, I would suggest looking at Epsons web page for the printer. I'm mostly a Mac user with a windows 7 box rarely used...

I've had my 1430 about 2yrs and am fairly satisfied. I use Win 10 and the wireless function with no problem.
My main complaint is that the printer must be used regularly to avoid clogged heads and irregular color bands.
Colors are bright and with good resolution. Not a bad printer for the money.

I have the 1430. It is a fine printer. I had the 1400 and gave it to a friend, it is still working fine. I only replaced it with the 1430 because the 30 is wireless and can use it on any of the families computer.

I have the Epson 1430 and use it with Windows 10. I print a variety of sizes from 4x6 to 13x19 on a variety of papers. I use only Epson ink and am very pleased with the results. I've had no problems with the printer. I can not compare it to any other brand of printer but have been well satisfied with Epson products.

PS I buy my ink directly from Epson. Two reasons 1) If you put your self on the mailing list they have sales. I always buy enough to have a complete replacement set at home. 2) If you have a problem they are good and they can see that you buy Epson ink and that they can't say the problem is non Epson refill inks.
