I have not used my Nikon D500 since Christmas--I went to delete the pictures out of it and could not when I told it OK the OK was in red --also tried formatting the card and the same thing happened I formatted the card in another camera and had no problem--by the way the camera was a canon so I know it is not the card--works fine in the Canon

Try: When you select OK,use the OK button on the left rear bottom button on the back of the camera.

It confused me a couple of times when I got the D500, because I was used to pressing the button in the middle of the multi selector on the D7200.

BTW, I would have formatted the card before using, particularly after using it another camera.

I push and hold the two format buttons, the display will flash, then push both again. Formatted.

Not at the same time. Easier for me to use the menu driven one.

That's what I thought, but never bothered testing it. I used the button method on older cameras that only had one card.

Thanks.

It looks like you got it. If you use the menu you are able to format each card. You must select the card to be formatted.

Great camera, by the way

The focus options are enough to test for a while! I am quite anxious to get Steve Perry's upcoming book on Nikon auto focus systems so I can better utilize my Nikons. Soon! I'm into BIF and need all the advantages I can get!
