While out on my deck I found this guy/gal searching for insects, grubs and worms under leaves on the ground. I have never seen one in this position before nor since. Please use download.

I've never seen one sit up either but it sure did let you get a clear shot of those digging claws! Well captured.

He probably caught your scent and is in this position to check out the scent. I had one do that once but I was to slow to get a picture.

They can really tear up your yard looking for grubs. Had to laugh as it brought back memories of my wife chasing one around the yard trying to hit with a broom.

BamaTexan, excellent photo of a neat little critter. Used to see them all the time in Florida and they are great fun just to watch their antics. Thanks for the posting of this little clown.

Have you ever tried to chase one down? They run just fast enough to elude you and if you get too close, they jump up into the air
