Was over there Saturday and the recipe for this gift of Nature is:

1. VERY cold temps ( -25 windchill factor
High water ( the river went down a few days ago)
3. Strong cross winds

The flying spray freezes and the cross winds push it over to where I was shooting

Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......
thanks for going out and sharing these spectacular sights!!!!
Did you ever try blowing a soap bubble in this temperature, they freeze and look amazing!!

...an added note, my daughter was just filming an episode of Say Yes To The Dress at the Ice Castle in Quebec City, she also froze her -blank- off, but it was amazing!!!

OOOPs, not me I meant to say ''they'' were on TV, The Ice Castle. I've been there, but didn't spend the night. The running joke is that the homeless sleep outside and it doesn't cost them a cent

hahahahaaa, that's funny... the bride and groom didn't sleep there either, but the altar had a fur rug and so did the chair!!!
I hear only the bathrooms are heated! Very unique for sure and they build it every year!!

OMG! I was chilled just looking at these. I love to see stuff like this on photos and postcards and calendars, anyplace where I don't have to be. You are a brave soul to get out there and photograph this place so the rest of us could see it. Nice job! JESS
