This was my first day out birding with my new Nikon. This Bald Eagle was a full city block away and at the top of a large telephone pole. The neck feathers are a little off, and i don't think this photo would enlarge well, but it makes awesome postcards.
I have both the Nikon P-900 and the Canon SX-50 HS. Each of them have their good points and bad points. The Canon is a little slower and of course, not a great a zoom, but lighter and more functions. Nikon is much bigger and heavier, and a better zoom, but there is no hot shoe and a few less functions.

Nice photo owlLady.
I enjoy my P900 and hope to get some nice wildlife shots when I go out west this summer.
That is a great shot from the P-900.

Great shot. Isn't it wonderful? My P900 goes everywhere I go in case I can't reach what I see with my Sony a6000.

A very nice photo....Rich
Nice picture. I love my P900. Can't wait for spring. We still have way to much snow here.
What a fantastic, beautiful image of this bald eagle, Beverly! Well done!
