Question regarding watermark/copyright

I am going to let a friend of mine use some of my photographs on the website for her wedding venue. How should I copyright or watermark my images so that I get credit for them. She wants me to put info on the images such as my website info but I don't want to take away from the fact that we are advertising her venue, not my images. Wondering what the proper protocol would be? Thanks in advance.

If you do not want to get the wedding photography work simply ask for your friend to simply state 'Thank you to' or 'Courtesy of' (you) for the photo's underneath each image. - presumably there will be other peoples work being used too so the same style should be used..
If you want the work then get a link to you on the website.

It will be a small image at low resolution so theft is probably not an issue. You could print large images and get your friend to acknowledge your ownership of the images on the back and when first used... File them away. It may not be legal but it may stop them being used in other ways without asking you.

Have fun

Is there a program for the wedding? If so, have your web site listed as Photographer or Images provided by.

Laura, if you look at any of the photos I've posted here, I put my copyright and web site info at the bottom. It's there, but doesn't distract from image itself.
