I have been a canon person all my life, but when I saw what this camera could do I sold my sole and all my Canon gear to fund this camera and one lens(Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens ) Lens won't arrive until late Thursday
:-(

We'll be waiting to hear whether you like the toy from the dark side. It will be fun to hear an overall assessment of the two systems. Congratulations on the new machine. Mike

I sold a Mark II with a 24-105 L lens, 70-300 IS lens, grip and 430ex flash to only partially fund this purchase. :-(
I was vary satisfied with what it produced. The thing that sold me on the Nikon was very good low noise and the detail in cropped photos.
I will let everyone know my experiences with the first Nikon I have ever owned. I hope its good with all the bucks invested
Yea, it's been Christmas here for several days as well. I'm now on a first name basis with the postman, Fed-ex ground driver, and certainly not least my UPS Man. I'm happy for you Dude!
