Hopefully this works better this time.
This was taken across a gully between the ridge Calico is located on, to the one next to it. Stitched from 5 shots. In this case unedited.

stunning pic .... never saw formations anything like this.... thanks for posting
Looks good in the download.
Strong textures in the rock formations.
Well taken.
Thank you. The area around Calico is known as good for rock hunters. The town was a silver mine in the late 1800's. Now a historic park.
Great shots, hassig! Love the rock formations!

San Bernardino and Riverside Counties of California have many views like the beautiful pano posted here.
I saw Calico back in the early 1950's as a Jr. High School kid hanging out with his desert rat uncle who lived near Barstow and Needles CA alternately as his Railroad job moved him and his family around. It wasn't anything but some abandoned old shacks and couple of abandoned mines but to me, the kid, it was the wild, wild West. I think some of the shacks ended up in Knott's Berry Farm eventually.
For a time Knott's Berry farm ran Calico. They may have owned it, not sure. I think if they did, it did not make enough money for them and they either sold it to the County or donated it after a fire.
