While I am preparing the next post, just have a look at some of the strange stuff I use for portable lighting.ð¬
That stuff has dials and switches. Wow, kind of refreshing to see that again.
Hi Jay!
Yeah! I hate LCD readouts when I need to work quickly, I find that switches and dials are more positive, make for more repeatable settings and are generally more reliable. Some much of the latest gear is seriously over-engineered- too many gadgets make for more breakdown potential and mistakes. I try to maintain my older gear as best as I can but if it needs repair, parts are no longer available and there are very few technicians that can still do the work. Can't turn the clock backward!

What you said about gadgets is why I am not sold on these new gadget filled cars which have sensors and cameras everywhere helping me drive without thinking. Just more that can break down and stop working someday. I like gadgets, but I also know they are not 100% reliable.
How about driverless car🙁? Soon they will have photographer-less cameras. A ROBOT for covering weddings.
