I think the trend in mirrorless slowing is because of cell phones. I also think their was a peak of sales.

The metabones work but not always well. I would want to keep Canon glass but check out if features work when connected.

The a 6300 series is a new game changer. It just is very comfortable in your hand and it's stills and video are outstanding.

I had the a6000 get it to my son for now. The bought the a6300 and love it but would like to have had the a6500 which

has 5 axis ? stabilization. I miss my Nikons but the size of bodies and lenses is just to large to take everywhere.

Not just mirrorless, but all cameras including DSLR's.

I have this discussion all the time with the technical writers at work and they all agree on the following. Yes, the American English version is preferred if you're in the U.S., but it is not incorrect to use the British English spelling. If someone wants to use the British English version it is fine to do so.

Who really cares....language is always evolving. With the spread of social media acronyms are taking over anyway...LMAO.

I have an A6000 Sony, not a high end for sure. 24mp. It is difficult to get used to after using the larger Nikon and Canon bodies. The controls are very small in comparison so very touchy for larger hands. It is so easy to make a wrong setting. The picture quality is very good and great in low light also. The big advantage is 'light weight' and as we get older, "light" is much better. It will do most everything my other cameras do.The cost of multiple lens' is a problem and there does not seem to be a lot of choices as in Nikon and Canon. Looks like you need to make some decisions. I will attach a Church photo that I was commissioned to do. I had it printed on metallic pearl paper and this accented all the brick edges.

Lens in "American English"... Lense gets autocorrected in my browsers here. Yet it seems to be the preferred spelling in "British English" speaking lands.

Language is colloquial in nature... Yet we know what is stated, most of the time!

Just a quiet word from the "home" of "British English" ....... I was born, well-educated and have lived here in various parts of the UK for a few decades now, and have NEVER come across or seen in any manual, dictionary or other that the way to spell "lens" should be "lense". Indeed, I just checked my version of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary (11th Edition), which shows "lens", with no mention of the word "lense" as even an alternative. Guess you cannot always believe everything you hear ! Nope ...... here in real Britain we prefer "lens".

Mirrorless? I've been a Fuji X user since the outset (changed entirely from Nikon) and kinda grown with them. Great cameras and lenses which are "good enough" for what I want out of photography. But I'm not gonna enter into the "which is best" argument. There's enough info out there to be able to work out "what's right for you".

[quote=John Howard] The better quality mirrorless lenses tend to be manual .......

Sorry John, but that's just misleading to anyone with minimal knowledge of mirrorless systems ...... and you make no mention of Fuji's X Series cameras and lenses which indicates a certain lack of knowledge on your part.

Whilst you can adapt a Fuji (and other mirrorless) to use older manual only focus lenses (I used a lovely Nikkor 100mm f2.8 "E" series manual lens on my Fuji's for a while) I've come to the conclusion that the lenses specifically designed for the X-Series (Fuji XF lenses) work best with these cameras. NONE of them are totally manual focus ...... ALL are autofocus with the option, if it suits, to manually focus the lens.

I'm smilin' ! It's been a while since I took a look at this forum, and fell into the trap of not checking when this post started. But there have been some comments of late ...... and above comment still stands !
