Liberal Laziness

I can't tell you how many times I open a thread because the topic intrigues me....but then just close it again because the OP is merely a link to someone else's words or ideas. This seems to run rampant among Trump detractors. AKA Liberals.

It may be the optimist in me, but a part of me really has trouble actually believing that it's really true that they can't think for themselves....and rely instead on repeating talking points. But, seriously.....is there no original thought? I can navigate to Huff Post all by myself.

I don't find it quite as annoying, as when I open a thread, and find a whole article copy and pasted, with no link back to the source. Just a lazy, but we're just expected to take the poster's word that it's from a reliable source.
Quite often the link itself will give some information as to what the article is about.

I am at a loss as to why you are so uninterested and even annoyed by the idea that someone would offer an article for consideration that they feel is written by an intelligent/interesting/informed journalist reporting on something of importance, and wanted to share it with the forum and discuss/debate the article.

It sounds to me like you are not very open to new information or educating yourself about the world. Rather, you have a set of rigid beliefs and opinions that are not subject to change, and any new information is scary to you and viewed as potentially a dangerous attack on your carefully guarded opinions.

I think you misunderstand. He's interested enough to open the topic, but lacks the attention span to click on the link.

copying and posting an entire article is considered spam, and a copyright violation. Duplicating content also harms the google ranking of a website. The hypertext protocol was designed to provide active links to access additional, supplemental and other relevant information.

The best forum practice is to post a link, and provide an excerpt of the article and add your own reaction to the article.

There are several here that simply post bare links...in effect providing UHH with an unwanted, un-needed feed to winger articles

Even better. Think for yourself and post your own words.

Clearly, then, you're not the target of my OP. You are obviously evolved to the point where you can regurgitate AND post a link to what you regurgitated.

Not sure why you titled this, "Liberal Laziness" I've seen this multiple times from "Conservatives". Seems to me you've started your theory from a prejudiced position in the first place.
Sorry I don't have a link to share with you.
