further to the topic of using circular polarizing filter for DSLR, is it a good idea to always leave the filter on the camera in lieu of UV filters?

If you wish to darken about one half of every picture you take you can. I don't know why you would want to, but there is a whole lot I have no idea about.

thanks for your response. i just don't want to screw and unscrew always the filter on the camera when i need to take photos using a polarizing filter. but of course, i need to change the filter for some other picture taking applications.
