it's simply that for you context is a teacup, my context is an ocean.... it's a matter of perceiving relationships.

I have worked for minimum wage but had enough drive to educate myself without the help of parents or government to make something of myself instead of relying on the government to give me a hand out my whole life like so many liberals.

I think ALL conservatives should get over this thing that they are the only ones who have "pulled themselves up" without government assistance.

I am a Liberal.

Except for the GI Bill, I also served in Vietnam, I paid for my college education with no help even from my parents or the government.

“Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English).”. I get it now.

I never said I was the only one. Both libs and conservs do it. However, more libs feel it is better for big government to take care of them than to put forth any effort to better themselves.

I disagree.

Speaking for myself, and possible many other Liberals, I believe it is appropriate for the government to help people who NEED help.

The difference between Conservatives & Liberals is the definition of who actually NEEDS help.

I believe there are a LOT of people on welfare who shouldn't be.
But, there are also a LOT of people who DO need help.

You are making an unfounded statement regarding "The difference between Conservatives & Liberals is the definition of who actually NEEDS help." It is impossible for you to know what ALL conservatives think or feel just as it is impossible for me to know what ALL liberals think or feel. Stop judging people in certain categories as ALL being the same. We are not.

I completely agree with your last two sentences. We as a society need to help those who are in need. But we do not need to provide a lifetime of help simply because some people are too lazy to educate themselves or work hard.

Liberal thinking in general, not the thinking of all liberals, is that it is okay to take from the rich and give to the lazy who have no desire or drive to do better.

So, I'm seeing this morning on my FB feed where some people are posting a whole laundry list of things they will and won't support during the next four years (at least) of Donald Trump's presidency, and what they won't apologize for believing in. Well, here's my list:

I won't apologize for v****g for Donald Trump.

I won't apologize for being a white male who v**ed for Donald Trump.

I won't apologize for thinking less of the "snowflakes" who had a total meltdown and went into mourning, needed counseling, etc. because Hillary Clinton lost the e******n. If this is the worst thing that happens in your life, consider yourself very lucky. Try mourning a loved one who was k**led defending our country, or a loved one who was k**led in one of the numerous terrorist attacks here on our soil.

I won’t apologize for serving in the military so liberal cry-babies and draft-dodgers could enjoy their right to protest.

I won't apologize for believing that immigrants coming into our country need to do so legally. To all of you who are such supporters of the U.S, taking care of everyone, do a little research and see how many of our children live below the poverty level and don't have access to basic necessities; do a little research on the number of homeless veterans not receiving the care they need. I'm all for helping humanity but I believe that charity starts at home. We need to take care of us first.

I won’t apologize for risking everything to go into business and becoming a successful capitalist making my fortune without the government’s handouts and providing jobs for people.

I won't apologize for thinking Black L***s M****r and other organizations like them are terrorist organizations. People have said for 100+ years that the Ku Klux Klan is a terrorist organization. Look up the definition of terrorist. If you don't consider Black L***s M****r a terrorist group, then I'm not sure what qualifies as one.

I won't apologize for thinking the women who dressed up like vaginas, or maxi pads, and other such things and marched in protest of our president deserve to be treated with respect. You have to earn respect. Dressing up like a vagina in protest of our president is not earning respect.

I won't apologize for thinking that every American should stand for our national anthem. If you are an American citizen, then you should stand for the national anthem. You don't get a pass because you are a professional athlete and this is the venue you choose to protest our president.

I won't apologize for boycotting the Oscars, Grammys and other awards shows that allow celebrities to spew their hatred toward our president and our country. Perhaps with their multi-millions of dollars they should take in the i*****l i*******ts coming into our country and assume responsibility for them. Feed them, house them, clothe them, pay for their medical bills.

I won't apologize for thinking that jobs need to come back into America.

I won't apologize for wanting America to be safe; wh**ever it takes to do so.

I won't apologize for supporting drug testing to receive a welfare check. Why is it a violation of a human right?

I will not apologize for supporting our system for electing the president. If Hillary Clinton had won the e******n, nobody would be talking about the e*******l college and the popular v**e.

And, most of all, I will not apologize for defending President Trump when people say h**eful, untrue things about him, or make fun of his hair, dress or anything else. Every president in our history has made good and bad decisions. The man has been in office less than a month. Give him a chance to do his job.

I love our country and whether you like it or not, Donald Trump IS your president for at least the next four years. It's going to be a very long, h**eful road for you if you don't get on board.

This is just my humble list of things I won't apologize for.
So, I'm seeing this morning on my FB feed where so... (show quote)
