Now available for pre-order at several of the usual suspect stores, the Canon M6 Mirrorless, the T7i and the 77D. Just wondering if any hogs are considering any of these new models? If so, which and why?

Seems like a lot of compromises, esp. re the M6 and the T7i.
Perhaps I'll wait for the rumored(?) new full-frame model or the M10...
The 7D Mk II "hung the moon and stars" in my estimation.

By rumored new FF, are you talking about the 6D Mark II? I'm interested in seeing how that pans out too.

Just got the 7D Mark II, 77D has all the bells and whistles for sharing pics ect at the expense of fps, IMO they are going after the entry level prosumer market, the 7D Mark II is a beast and a different class of camera, the next step is full frame if you own the 7D mark II

No doubt. I own the "beast" 7DII myself. But for under $1000 the 77D isn't too bad as an entry level: 6FPS is right there with the venerable 5DIII.

The 5D is full frame, the 7D is faster, but it is aimed at a different market, one Canon has been losing in, great camera for that market

The rumor was something Clint (member "Cdouthitt") mentioned in his post re the Canon announcements earlier today. He didn't indicate any model name/number, but you may be right. /Ralph

Under $1000? B&H lists the 77D at $1499. Is that not the right price?

I took a look at the M6, but I really don't have much interest in mirrorless. The only advantage I see is that it is somewhat smaller and lighter then my DSLR's. Not much of a factor to me, plus, I always use the viewfinder, not the LCD screen. If you want a viewfinder on the M6, you have to buy it separately. I think I'll stick with my DSLR's.

Ah yes, I see it now. The listing I was looking at did include a kit lens.
