My D7000 now has a shutter count of 81377. So far the camera is working flawlessly but I question how long that may last. Anyone have any idea what the average life of this camera is?
Well nuts! I was hoping for an excuse to buy a new camera.
Even still, thanks for the reply.

that is the MTBF, so your actual "clicks" could be considerable higher..
And there is a 50% chance it will be lower when it fails.
Buy the new camera and the D7000 will be a great back-up.
I have a D7000 that i bought used in September (emergency, after I damaged my D810). It worked flawlessly while i was away and when i returned i checked the count - 187,613. With a shutter rated for 150,000 actuations, i think it's doing OK! The only real problem is that I can't sell it! Unless the prospect doesn't ask about the shutter....
