I will master this software if it kills me.. Lee, another great contributor has been a big help to me. I want to go back and correct my mistakes now that I have sorta mastered the software. I can't figure out how to reset all adjustments in a group of photos. When I go to the tool bar and click "photos" the "reset all adjustments" is not selected even though I have selected the photos. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You didn't indicate the software or what type of file you saved it as (jpeg, tiff, psd, etc.). For most types of files you cannot go back after closing the file as the history is not saved (one exception is the photoshop format). Hopefully you gave them new names so that the original pictures are still available - use those.

Oh sorry, you're using Apple's Aperture. I've used iPhoto which is similar and my previous comments are valid - you'll need to bring up the original photos. If after adjusting you did not save with a new name or new format then you're out of luck.

Command click to select each photo.
Right click on of those photos
From the contextual menu select rest all adjustments

Highlight your photos you want to work with
Go to photos
Reset al adjustments

Since you are not changing original, you always automatically work with a copy in Aperture, you can always go back and make changes and go back to the original.

You never have to "save as". This is one big plus in aperture.

This is not working so I am doing something wrong. When I highlight the photos and go up to "photos" drop down menu, "reset all adjustments" is not highlighted.

Close Aperture
Open Aperture
Go to Photos
Reset All Adjustments

Try this see if it works. I tried to get it to not recognize reset adjustments. Tried to get it to "grey out" then i I did undo reset adjustments.

The reset adjustments then was active so I choose click on it
and it worked.
