Thanks, from what I have been reading that seems to be a very good SD card the following is the one I was thinking of either 32 or 64, I am leaning towards the 32 as I take a lot of pictures when on vacation but I also have 2 64gigs already.

Lexar Professional 633x 64GB SDXC UHS-I Card w/Image Rescue 5 Software

What camera? I note that the 1000x Lexar 64GB card is $10 more. Depending on your camera's write speed and your usage, it may or may not be worth the extra $. If you Google your specific camera and "fastest SD card" or "SD card speed" you can see the speed on your specific body to decide.

For SD Cards, SanDisk Extreme Pro. For CF cards, Lexar Professional 1066x.

Personally I wouldn't use such high capacity sd cards, the largest size I use is 16gb. You will have a lot of photos on a 64gb but it's a lot to lose if the card becomes faulty, there's an old saying "don't put all your eggs in one basket". By all means buy a 64gb card for storage but not in your camera.

I've had multiple failures (card not recognized) on San Disk micro SD cards. I don't recall any trouble with the full size SD. Samsung micro has done well.

Lexar 1000x cards and 1066x cards. I use their reader too because it's UDMA compliant

The first thing I look for is reliability and the higher end Sandisk, Lexar, and Delkin are rated the most reliable. The next I look for is the how fast the SD card can write to the card and again these cards have the fastest write times. I have used the Sandisk 90 mb/s and I get a slight hesitation between quick shots because the card is to slow writing to the card. I had to go to cards that are 1900x or faster to solve that problem. I went to one of our local professional photographers who has talked to the engineers that actually design the cards and cameras and they said the best way to extend the life of the cards is to use the camera format instead of individually deleting photos. I had a Sandisk Card Extreme Series fail on me when I started taking a local championship and it happened after I deleted some photos on the card from my laptop. I got to use the card again, but only after I reformatted the card. I don't understand why deleting photos a certain way other than formatting the card can shorten the life of the card, but according to the engineers that design the cards they have a certain life span depending how much use the cards. The size of the card is largely a personal decision in my opinion, but if your afraid of a card failing you may want to use 32mb cards which are a common size available and if it fails you won't lose as many photos then if you were using a larger card and maybe a compromise size that is large enough to keep you from swapping cards during important shooting sessions.

I have been looking at purchasing a couple of extra 64 gig cards and would like to know what is the SD card of choice most UHH members prefer, have looked at many reviews and became even more confused on what to by so hopefully I can get an answer from UHH members thanks.

Mine are mostly SanDisk. Your owner's manual will tell you what cards are approved. I have Class 10, 16, 32, and 64 GB.

Yes that is true the owner manual tells you the approved cards when it was written, but technology is moving faster then their written manuals.

After moving your images from any size card to your computer or other safe storage device, ALWAYS RE-FORMAT YOUR CARD IN YOUR CAMERA. Before continuing to use the card. Much less chance of having any card corruption, although never a 100% garrenttee.

I've used SanDisk from Digital day one and never had a failure. 16 gigs is the biggest I use and 8 is what most of my gear has in it. I took some advice about not having all your eggs in one basket. Plus I just don't shoot that many shots in a day and always have a computer and hard drive with me on travels. Just some ideas. S

I used to use SanDisk but I've replaced them all with Lexar 32's as I love Lexar's image rescue software!

There are various websites that rate SD cards, but not all cards even with name brands are equal reliability. For example, those micro-Sd cards are not rated very well with heavy photo use from what I have read as there reliability factor goes down from heat. I think you really need to look at these rating as to how fast they write to the card and their MTBF.

I have mostly Lexar for my Nikon bodies. I do have a few SanDisk and neither has been the problem. It depends what you are shooting. If you are doing birds in flight then you may want 1000x and watch the read and write numbers. B/h had a sale on lexar 32 gb over the weekend. If your gears old some of the newer cards will work but will be overkill, in my opinion.
If your are shooting video- then you want the best cards available.
