I would not go that far. Every little bit of knowledge gained can make a difference. It all adds up.

The down side is that too many "facts" and numbers can get in the way of reality. Pretty soon nobody can see the forest for the trees.

This thread has frequently gone off track. So, what else is new? That seems to be normal for UHH.

Smart is overrated. It's better to be wise than smart. That's where common sense and collective wisdom prevail. It's also better to be lucky than smart.

And brevity is the soul of wit. You may have noticed that many of our long winded posters have no sense of humor.
