Hi, I have a note card business in the beginning stages. All of my images have been stored in My Pictures & edited in Picasa on my PC. Well, now I want to eliminate my PC & download & edit my images on my IPad. The problem is the number of the image doesn't follow it to the IPad...I can't figure out which Picasa program to download on to my IPad. I need to be able to edit the images...I hope someone understands my problem & can help me...

I use my ipad2 everyday and have over 8000 photos stored on it , of. Course I have the 64k version.. There are several problems syncing photos to your iPad. If you use iCloud it will only sync the latest 1000 photos.. (apple really needs to improve this). You can always manually download photos from your camera direct or sd card . I have found an app called photo sync. Which is terrific and I can download wirelessly from my pc to ipad2 .. Works really cool.. Also the very best touch up is adobe photoshop touch.. It works wonderful on iPad, and should do most features you would want to do.. You can always do CS5 or CS6 on your pc or Mac and then photo sync them.. I have stayed away from Picasso because of several issues and the amount of photos I store, although some people love it , it was not for me.. I like to control my own folders and storage. Both of these apps are available at the apple app store on your iPad.. Hope this helps !

Hi Maggie
I am an avid Picasa user and I suggest you ask in the Picasa forum for help with this one. It's under Help on the menu bar. Top contributors will assit you. You would need to open a Google account first. I hope this helps.

Thanks Lenf,
Very helpful... This whole process is very confusing to me being such a beginner both in photography & starting this Notecard business... We want to consolidate the images onto the IPad so i can take them to my customers & show them on a small device, but are not able to do that because we print them frm my P C...

Great advice! You definitely need to be watchful about uploading photos to the IPad because they will eat up your storage capacity very quickly. Just be sure you edit and move them to another storage area before they eat up too much space! I 64G as well. I love editing photos on my IPad and I upload directly from my camera to the IPad with Apple's USB SD Card Adaptor. I edit and use 'Dropbox,' a free app, to transfer them to my laptop.

Hi Maggie ,
Adobe photoshop cs5 and now they just released the new version cs6, along with Lightroom , these are we shall say complex programs, for a beginner. As a semi or pro you can do anyThing with these programs once you learn.. The standard photoshop elements for your pc or Mac should do just fine and are easy to master.. Also the photoshop touch for your IPad is fairly easy to learn .
Good luck with your venture. I am sure there are a lot of great photographers here to help you..

If you are just going to be viewing pictures on iPad or iPhone you can resize the pictures so they are smaller file size. Won't eat up storage and looks fine as long as not made too small.
Can be done in Picasa before exporting. Window will pop up or tools> options> email.

Be sure to syn to web all of your shots. Then should be easy to pick them up by going to your Picasa web account and downloading.
