I use T-mobile because I got a cheap rate many years ago. My son's families use verizon. They get much better coverage out where we live (Idaho).

We've had T-Mobile for more years than I want to admit. My wife's phone quite working a few years ago and we took it in to the local store to see if it was worth fixing. We got it replaced with the newest and greatest at the time for half off. The people at the store all seem to know what they are doing and are courteous. I don't have any reason to go anywhere.

The company I work for is thinking of switching to T-Mobile. I sure hope they don't. Verizon has the best coverage I've had so far, and my wife's phone costs half as much as US Cellular with the same plan. Plus, her phone was dropping calls and roaming all the time with 24 hour battery life, and switching to Verizon gives her 10 days before charging due to better coverage. Then US Cell stuck us with a $150 bill for cancelling a phone that never worked right.

A while back I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile. My main complaint was spotty coverage and lack of coverage. After a few weeks of dropped calls and no service, we switched back to Verizon.

If you live where there is good T-Mobile coverage and don't travel a lot, go with T-Mobile. Where I live and travel, Verizon has the best service...

My son passed away and I got his iphone. Although the TMobile Web site said it would work the techs in two TMobile stores were sure it would not. They put in a new sim card and proved it.

I took the sim card from my android and stuck it in. It works fine.

I never tried T-Mobile. I've been with Verizon for YEARS. Never any problems, and they have better coverage than others in many places, (for instance Mount Desert Island, where I frequent.). Never thought about switching because they've done so well for me.

Another consideration, Germany or USA!? T-Mobile is a German company. Verizon Wireless, real name Cellco, is a USA company, owned and operated by Verizon Communications, previously Bell Atlantic, based in New Jersey.

T mobile has been good with us ever since just after 9/11, all services have dead spots, had a Sprint phone from work, bosses wanted to know why I called in on TMobile not Sprint, no coverage, other spots no TMobile, I found better voice quality on TMobile than on friends Verizon phones, your phone can make a big difference too, our new, relatively now, Windows phones are in some ways the best we have had, phone services very very good, internet and pictures too, menus a bit confusing, a complaint about all phones, my wife says they are right handed.

We switched to TracFone over a year ago at a fraction of the $170 we were paying Verizon every month. We now average $54 a month, and my son is always on his phone for something or other. I'm using my same Samsung Galaxy 4, and he bought a similar smartphone. I'd never go back to one of the big providers.

TracFone uses Verizon towers - never a problem with coverage.

Used T-Mobile for a few years: couldn't get any bars inside of most buildings (including our house), dead zones in unexpected places (not just rural areas - small towns and medium sized cites) all up and down the east coast, and nothing for a week after the June 2012 Direcho (Virginia and Maryland). Finally listened to the kids and went to Verizon in 2013.

I use Verizon for one reason. My wife and I do a lot of traveling in our RV if in a populated area any carrier is fine, in sparsely populated areas Verizon wins. My wife and I worked in East Glacier for 5 months Verizon was the only carrier that worked.

Switched from ATT to Consumer Cellular five years ago. No problems at all. It is a GSM network that (I think) piggybacks on ATT. Flexible plans and no contract. Your phone or you can buy one from them.
