The snow didn't stop this bird from looking for food.

800mm shot. Hand held. Distance was about 25-35 feet.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 2.0x III - 1/320 - f/9 - ISO @ 800.

Beautiful shot Regis...the winter scene adds so much to the loveliness of the overall image. Your Junco's have some brown which is more pretty than the black and gray Junco's we have in Tennessee. Great Job!

I was told that this is an Oregon sub-species of the Dark-eyed Junco.

Thank you very much, James, for your good comment.

The snow here in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho is now melting fairly fast.

Thank you very much, IBM.

Thank you very much, kpmac. There was no sunshine as the snowflakes fell down, so I was lucky to get a good shot
between the the snowflakes.

Great pic. Good work getting the exposure right in all that snow. I tend to forget about snow here in central Texas.

It is tricky to get a good meter reading with the snow. I just wished we had a little sunshine peeking through the clouds. Here is north Idaho, we receive
60+ inches of snow in a average year. However, our Winters are fairly short (December, January and February) because we are surrounded by mountains
at an elevation of 2100 feet.

Thank you very much, DickVH.
