With all of the expert photographers on this site - what is your suggestion for the best setting for the moon eclipse tonight?
Not sure where you are, but I understand most of us in USA will have a dimming of the moon, but not an actual eclipse.
Yes, I am in IN, the penumbral lunar eclipse will begin at 5:34 pm eastern time, the greatest eclipse will be at 7:44pm and it ends at 9:53 pm. So I know at first I may not see much, because it will be so bright still, but hoping as the night continues I will be able to catch something😊

Is your light meter not functioning?
Aren't you shooting digital? Without knowing which lens/camera combo you are using, that would be hard for us to say.
If I am using my D7200 with 150-600 Sig zoom to shoot a full moon, at 550mm, I usually shoot at ISO 500, 1/250, f7.1 or f8 with a 2x converter, depending on atmospheric conditions.
I usually shoot manual and check my results after the first shot or two and then adjust accordingly.
Your results may (and probably will) vary!

If you had started before the eclipse, you would have had some practice. If you do not have a long lens, you will be disappointed. Do some reading on the subject instead of getting 10 or more answers.
