I just need some "directional" information please...
I live in Miami and at an advance age, got into digital photography. Everything was fine until a couple of months ago when I noticed that despite what I THOUGHT was a complete back up of my images into a WD Passport, turned out to on be partial back ups. The worse thing is that I am going into a VERY big show later this year, and I realized some of my "prized" images, (read" I want them for the show) are NOT to be found, (except for some small thumbnail files. PLUS my Mac Pro PC seems to be infested with mal (or ad) ware...
My question is:
-I need a technical person who can 1) Find my "lost" images. 2) Clean up my computer. 3) Clean up (and show me) HOW to use the Passport hard drive properly.
Where do I find such a person? (At an Apple prearranged meeting in a store? Or put an ad out?) Or online?
And IF it is a private individual, what designated title am I looking for? IT? Software/Hardware specialist?

It's not hopeless, and you can probably do it yourself, provided the files haven't been written over.

Call Apple tech support. Going to the store isn't going to get you where you need to be. Tell the tech you need to speak with someone in the "professional services" area. They will know exactly where you are and how to resurrect your computer. They may even be able to "find" your lost photos. Good luck.
