Which one of the two images do you like better? The first was taken on a sunny day. The second on a rather overcast day. What could be done to make either one better?
focal length 271mm, shutter 1/200, aperture 5.6
focal length 300mm, shutter 1/125, aperture 10.0
Welcome to UHH. I like #1 the best.
I like number 1 the best..two looks too white.
I like #1 best also. #2 needs warmed up. Welcome to UHH, and keep posting!
I would prefer #2 if it had the colour of #1 as it shows the samller additional building and the tree line

I agree. I will have to go back and try again with your advise.
Thanks for the comments.
#1 is warmer, but not as focused as # 2.
#2 Adjusted
Honestly, and since you asked, I don't care for either of them. I like the barn but there is too much in the background to keep ones attention drawn to it. I would try and either crop out some of the background or user a longer telephoto and get in closer on the barn.
My .02 worth!!
Since you said download under you picture I tried something.
I adjusted the brightness and contrast.
If you like it PM me and I can give you more specifics

The images are taken at different angles so the backgrounds are different. Personally I like the first one better as I feel the greens on the hills are better than the more dull on the second. As to what can be done to improve them, that is so much a matter of personal preference. The only way I could tell you is to make the adjustments. I did work on both in OnOne Software Effects which brings out more of the colors and more emphasis on the brush along what I assume is a spring. You're the judge if they are better.

Thanks all for your suggestions and comments. I know now what needs to be done and I agree. Now that it's pointed out to me, I will go back and re shoot with that in mind.
