This is a follow up to my previous post of Feb 7. These old rice silos are located in downtown Katy, TX. In that first post all the images except the first were completely in B&W, mainly because of the nature of the subject matter. Due to the age and weathering of those old silos, there was a lot of rust on most of the metal components. So in these images, I suppressed all of the colors except for the rust, to which I applied some extra saturation for effect. So here are a few more images of these old derelict rice silos, rust and all. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.

A fine series of well taken and processed photographs illustrating
the slow decay of industry.

Tom, I really like what you did on these shots. I love seeing rust and textures in a subject and you captured both!! Enjoyed the series and your processing!!

Thank you so much Linda for taking another look at these ugly old silos. I must say, I did have a lot of fun not only shooting these, but even more in doing the pp in B&W. And I was very pleased with the way they all turned out. Maybe I will be more inclined to do B&W in the future.

Nicely done - I like #1 particularly. Could be interesting to do some photography there at early morning, late evening, or even after dark with flashes placed differently or even some light-painting with flashlights.
