President Trump's Wall at the Mexican Border is estimated to cost 12-15 billion dollars. Mexico said they are not paying for the Wall. So, if they don't, taxpayers will have to absorb that cost, one way or another. Higher prices and taxes.

Why does that surprise anyone, duh. That being said, those who think lowering business taxes so they can hire more workers is a bad idea, forget that the new workers will more than make up the lost business taxes.

I would suggest, if your buying within the next year, you consider buying an American made motor vehicle. Just a suggestion, if you do not want to pay for the wall.

Just make sure it's not one of the 9 million Americans cars made in Mexico.

Why wouldn't your first choice be a car made in America?

Not all Ford or GM vehicles made in North America are made in the USA.

It's not always obvious where cars are made. Lots of cars are made in Mexico.

Because those who think lowering business taxes so they can hire more workers is a good idea, forget that lowered taxes has ZERO effect on hiring.

Conservatives live in this dream world where business owners say "Golly Gee! I have a few extra bucks this month -- let's hire more workers!"

Obviously, no one actually does that.

In reality, what they say is "Golly Gee! I've way more orders that my employees can handle -- let's hire more workers so we have more product to sell and I can afford to pay those new workers"

So, IF the business owner choose to use the lower taxes to lower his prices, and IF that leads to more sales and IF the increased sales leads to him hiring more workers, then it MIGHT make of up lost tax revenue.

But more likely, the business owner is going to just take the extra cash from the lowered taxes, cut out all that extra work, and just blow it on coke & hookers....

Every vehicle includes a plate or sticker that indicates the vehicle's country of origin.
Some suggest that the establishment of a National ID and requirement that a person have one to be employed in the US would make the wall less necessary. If we need migrant workers they could apply for a "temporary worker" ID that would have an expiration date. Sounds cheaper than the projected cost of a wall. Why come if you cannot find work? And your vehicle from south of the border would not be involved in whatever comes of the "Who is going to pay for the wall?" struggle.
