Here are the remaining pictures from today { see
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-440897-1.html }. Just as I was getting ready to go inside for a restroom and warming stop, two squirrels went past me at very high speed and making a loud screeching noise; I followed them as best I could, then took a few more pictures of them high up in a tree. Afterwards i was thinking that a shutter speed higher than 1/750 might have been better, but I was already at an ISO setting of 3200, which is higher than I'm comfortable going with my K-30 ... our checkbook is already screaming, so I guess a K-70 is out for now.

Great captures. I must have about 20 gray Squirrels living in my yard. They are fun to watch.

Thank you, both of you.
I had been frustrated earlier because a couple of them had been jumping way up high from tiny limb to tiny limb, and my reflexes just weren't adequate to capture any of it, so I was glad to finally get a pair up there {to give you an understanding of how high they were, these images are crops of roughly 50% of the 300mm shots I got with my 1.5 crop camera, so they a 35mm shooter would have needed a roughly 900mm lens to capture these scenes.

I get my best shots of them out my kitchen window.

Oh yes.
They got to this tree by jumping a seemingly large gap from another tree to small branches on this tree.
I think I was holding my breath when I could have been taking pictures!!
Great pictures... fun to watch
