For those that are not in favor of dishing out a monthly subscription for a fantastic Photoshop alternative or just want something other than the usual.

Looks very impressive... have you purchased it? There doesn't seem to be a trial version.

It's actually very impressive...especially for the relatively low purchase price. Yes, I purchased this software a few weeks ago and have been working with it regularly. It does not appear to have a trial version at this point of time but rumor has that it will soon.

Here is the home webpage for Affinity with more info. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/

I do not have the subscription, but still I do not see a reason for a switch, I'm very happy with Photoshop ( it does everything I want)!

And they will probably do what Adobe did, bait, hook then land you...(subscription), (not really complaining). Seems to be what everyone else is doing...would be great if I'm wrong. Thanks for the link.

Been using several Serif products since the mid-90's, including PhotoPlus versions, and now Affinity Photo. Always solid products and the best bang for the buck...or pound...or euro. I'm always amazed that Serif is not more widely recognized...at least here in the States.

Thanks for reporting that link for all those who want to try this program for Windows.
However, don't blame me: When I reported the link, in my post, it very clearly said that a trial was available for Mac only. So it looks like the website was updated in the last 24 hours.

I am using it and have been for about a month. It works well and does some things better than PS. No trial version, but an easy refund if you tell them you don't like it. I'm going to drop my PS subscription as soon as I get more practice with Affinity. Nice thing is that many skills transfer.
