Does anyone know about the return policy for either B&H or Adorama for refurbished cameras or lenses?
When I returned a used camera there was no problem at all. Why not call them because surely your circumstances will be somewhat different everyone else. My understanding is they have a great return policy.

Have you checked with them?
Don't know about Adorama but I just returned a new lens to B&H. I used it for a couple of days, didn't like it, and decided to return it. One phone call was all it took. They asked a few questions, made no effort to convince me to keep it, and e-mailed me an RMA. I boxed it up, took it to UPS, (you pay the shipping for returns, unless it is a warranty issue), and in about a week the full purchase price was credited to my card. No muss, no fuss! I would image that their refurb policy works pretty much the same.

Thank you. I will call and find out.
Why don't you just call them and find out. Then you will know. I thought I would return a d810 I purchased refurbed from Adorama because of the shutter count being higher than I thought one should be. They said no problem but I had gotten the only one they had left at that time and suggested I keep it longer and see if was working properly before returning. I did and decided to keep it. Very happy I did. If its like any of my other Nikons, it will probably still be working without a problem after I stop working. Adorama is great to work with.
Thank you. Great information. It answers my question.

I returned a defective refurbished D7200 to B&H not long ago with no problems and no questions other than what the problem was and if I wanted a replacement or a refund. They e-mailed me a shipping label so there was no cost to me to return it.

They have the policy clearly stated on their website..why ask here?

Hi Julian
Our return policy for refurbs is identical to the returns policy for new gear, and can be found here:
https://www.adorama.com/help/returnPolicy As you can see, it is 30 days from the date of receipt.
However, if you are an Adorama VIP 360 member (details here:
https://www.adorama.com/g/VIP360-NEW), you actually get a full 60 day return period, with free return shipping....as well as heaps of other benefits, such as free warranty cover and much more!

I placed a bid through GreenToe for a Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens, and within an hour Adorama picked it up at a substantial savings to me. Received verification from Adorama, then less than two hours later received another email stating the lens had shipped with a UPS tracking number. 5 days later I had lens in hand headed out the door for some shooting fun! I can't emphasize the communication and speed of shipment by Adorama, and I now have their website bookmarked, and for all future purchases I will look at them as they often have deals that are outstanding!
