I think this is one of the most amazing mantids ever - Dragon Mantis / Feather Mantis (Toxodera beieri) from Peninsular Malaysia. Natural light.

Female sub-adult Orchid Mantis (Hymenopus coronatus). Isn't she gorgeous? Peninsular Malaysia. The first ever wild specimen I found in the wild!!! Full flash.

Oh, M... G... those are totally cool! I am having a fit right now. Never saw a Dragon mantis before. And of course the Orchid mantis is a candidate for the most beautiful insect in the world.

Douglass - yes i think males have wings. That mantis was about 4 inches long.
