Wonderful photos of an amazing place. The horseman is a great capture! I want to be there on that horse!
Who did you use as your guide to Ear of the Wind?
Thsee are fantastic! This is on my bucket list. Can you give me some tips? Did you need a permit to get on the reservation? Where might I stay to get up early enough for sunrise or sunset? Any info would be great.

We stayed at Goldings Lodge, they have a lot of small prefab units which are really nice. You can stay in main lodge too if you like. Only other option, and I mean only, is to stay in the park at the Navajo hotel called The View. Rumor has it, that for 2017, there will no longer be self guided drives into the park. A guide told me this, so it may or may not be true. When I went last fall, a $25 permit got you into the self drive part of the park. Regardless, several of the pics I posted are from sites only accessible if you hire a Navajo guide to take you to the MV back country. We booked a sunrise tour with
http://www.navajospirittours.com/ which was very nice. While there, many other things worth seeing close by. Valley of the gods is 30 min. away, as well as Dugway and Muley point. Plan a couple days in that area.....then.....head to MOAB!!!!!!!
I love the sunset photos. Nicely Done!
Nice set, sure do love the 1st one.
