Just experimenting. Took a walk with a wide angle at night. Handheld pics.
The composition is fine for these photos and the subject matter is interesting. Have you ever considered carrying a small, sturdy monopod? That setup might allow you to take better advantage of low-light conditions while capturing sharper images.

Nope, hate monopods. As I said, just experimenting as I was walking. Never said they were any good.....

Well, jeepguy, I'd say this was a very successful experiment! I do like these photos, even that weird church in #4.
Was going to ask if you had used a tripod until I went back and read your intro. You must have one steady hand. Very nice. Do some more.

A modest fellow, you left that out. Being an assertive guy, I will say absolutely that those are good Street Photography. Very good.
They clearly and sharply depict life as it is lived where the images were taken. We can see the way that people interact with each other, with the man made surroundings and to some degree with nature. They show the character of humanity.
Lots of people want "pretty pictures" with saturated colors, excitement, exotic subjects and what not, which is fine for them. Street Photography is the classic "snapshot", with a purpose. A good Street shot may not grab your attentions from half way across the room the way bird photography does, but as a person passes by and notices some of the detail in a Street shot they just might stop and examine that detail in detail... for several minutes because it is so interesting and expresses so much about what we are as people.
Obviously I enjoyed looking at your examples of good Street!

Just a lovely city to wander through. I visited there back in '69 courtesy of the U.S. Navy. Unforgettable place and the wall around the city is great too.
Good shots, jeepguy.
Nice work! The second is my favorite.
