Sigma EX 100-300mm f4 for Canon sale

This is a sale for my beloved Sigma 100-300mm f4 EX DG HSM. I am the original owner. I am including the Tamron SP 1.4X extender that I have used with this lens. I have also used a Canon 1.4X - but I like the Tamron better.
This lens comes from a time (2001-2009 )when Sigma's quality control was suspect. I purchased this lens NEW as a close out from KEH in late 2010. The AF quit working after about a year and I sent the lens to Ronkonkona (SIGMA) under warranty for repair - and it has worked since 8-). I have used this lens along side of my Canon 300mm f2.8 with a 2XII. There is very little objective info on the internet regarding this lens. Originally released cost was $1300 ( about $2600 in today's money).
This Sigma is a very under rated lens - wide open it is a great lens - one stop down and it is an astounding lens ! With the 1.4X - it is still a great lens ! ( AF slows a tad). Used with a Canon 2X ( manual focus with most lesser bodies) it is again, astounding ! NOT as good as the Canon 300 2.8, but very very usable - (unlike most zooms). Like the Canon 70-200's and 200-400, this is a NON-extending zoom - and zooms with one finger. It is as good as or maybe better than the Canon 300 f4 L.
So, why am I selling ?? AS many of you may know, I have moved to Sony. I have this same lens in Sony mount that I am using with 2x CIZ - again, astounding ! ( better than TC's IMO ) .
There is no OS/IS - which is one reason why I use a monopod/bodypod with facial stabilization. Many of my postings to Fine Art America were made with this lens - take a look.
CONDITION: There are no optical issues and cosmetically does show some signs of usage. Comes with the Tamron SP1.4X TC, A non-original metal hood, the OEM plastic hood, OEM case, front and rear caps.
