I can find clear plastic ones but can't find UV. I want to filter out the glare.

Glare and UV have nothing to do with each other. You should be looking at a "Hoodman HoodLoupe" attachment (or similar) for viewing LCDs in strong sunlight: http://www.hoodmanusa.com/products.asp?dept=1017

I agree with nikonian72 I have the hoodmanloupe and it works great for bright day viewing. Now make no mistake it is something you have to hold up to the lcdcscreen for a quick check. Hood man does make a model that attaches to the camera if you use the live view. It does have diopter adjustment too.

Thank you Effayess. I am using a NikonL810. I did check out the hoodmanloupe but I don't think that is something I want to carry around. I have found the small hoods that fold up. They have the sides and top. They are less expensive. Nik was correct about clear plastic covers and UV protection. I knew that. lol. I was thinking of tinted sunglasses.

Well yer gonna love this 'un. I'm a retired photo equip. tech and I love to hack photo gadgets. I was noticing the top of my Nestle's Cocoa container about a year ago. It has a little roof shaped top on it. I cut the top off, sanded the edges, and washed it. I fits pretty well over a 3" screen and provides good shade and it's free and unbreakable. It has no diopter of course but my reading glasses are always hangin' around my neck. Check it out at the grocery and you'll be able to envision my contraption.

You are so smart. I will definitely do that. Off to the grocery to get cocoa.

I used some E6000 glue to line it with black craft foam, leaving about 2mm hanging over the edge to snuggle up to the screen.
