Might not be the best shot but I was in some practice while on a schooner trip. I think this was my first shot I tried in the fog. No time for much thinking as tis boat came zipping out of the fog. Comments and critique welcome

I love it as is. The color variations are wonderful. It's a print!

Nice one. You could crop some of the left side, but that would eliminate some of the wake.
Leave it as it is. Consider this one of those images that come out of the camera just as you saw it through the viewfinder. Beautiful and serene.

If I were to crop it I would crop the top portion so that it is roughly the same height above the wake/boat as below.

touch the light up a little and then leave it right now its awesome thought good job
Thank you everyone for your comments. This is a learning curve for me and your comments are very helpful
this is a though question as I also have been dealing with this subject in some Lego photos I've taken.
From my point of view, I like it like this. If I should crop this it would be from the top and the bottom , making it a wide pano. Nothing from the sides. But it darn good like this as well :)
Thank you I'll give that I try and share
just an observation. the boat is in an almost perfect golden ratio placement.

Strangely, for me, the Crop Evangelist, I agree. Lonesomeness, where he has been and where he is going... nowhere... rowing across the river Styx, forever.
Do not crop because negative space in this photo makes it work. This photo is to me a mood shot and if you crop it will greatly distract from the mood.
It's beautiful just as it is, asicit!
Well thank you everyone I was so unsure about this photo gotta say I'm feeling good about it now. Appreciate the critique very much
