'Girls Fast Pitch Softball'
Jan 23, 2017 08:04:34   #

Been doing various sports photos off and on for the past 20 years or so, and the past couple of years been debating on whether to continue or not. I have always enjoyed doing sports action because its exciting and not every shot is the same. However, it does get frustrating at times for various reasons.

These were taken at a 12 year old girls softball tournament last (2016) summer.

Nice action shots; my daughter played on Keystone H.S. softball team that won the State Championship. Keystone was rated the #1 in the nation for several years. The girls put a lot of time and dedication all year and still keep their grades up.
What lens did you used and your settings? Great Shots!.

Thanks loperR !!! I have found that the girls play just as hard, if not harder, than the boys, especially soccer. My choice of lens for these was Nikon 80-200mm f2.8.

Thank you Tommy!!! You are absolutely correct. If my memory serves me right, I believe they won the tournament in their age group.

These are really sharp - well done!
I much prefer girls fast pitch over boys baseball having grandkids that play each. It's a much faster game.
My grand daughter's 10 yr travel team one the state championship. Last year as a sophomore,
she pitched the varsity team to the state finals. Unfortunately, lost in the championship game.

Thanks raymondh !!! I too, much prefer girls fast pitch over the boys baseball. Seems to be more excitement. Congrats to your granddaughter's state championship win. While a great accomplishment, a battle to achieve. Seems its a very competitive sport.
