Hey every one. Looking to put some of my better photos into frames. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to get quality picture frames, on the cheap...
And I'd like to say how much I enjoy this site. I'm a newby here and it's a great resource for photography and photo related crap (like my question)

AC Moore & Michaels have some decent ones. Both stores usually have some of them on sale running each week.

Go to Big Lots, the Dollar Store, Ross Dress for Less, and Marshall's.

I get mine at Goodwill and thrift stores. Frames with matting and remove the old picture and insert mine. My wife thinks it is a phobia as I am always going into these kind of stores looking for frames. And I have a lot of them.

I have a wall in frames in the style like the one posted below. Different colours, shapes. 10 of them are 10x10 and one 36x24. Only problem is they are not cheap. :(

Picture frames.com. I usually go for the metal frames. Then I get the glass at a local glass shop. I cut my own mats.

Michaels. Sign up for the email specials and. Ever buy unless it's on sale. Target, on sale. Bed Bath & Beyond.
Don't buy really cheapo frames like thin metal poster frames. They'll fall apart before you turn and walk away and they always look cheap.

A friend considers herself a "photographer," and she always goes to a framing store, like Michaels or any other. She gets the thin (half inch) black metal frame with a mat. She says it's the standard for displaying photos. Just a suggestion.

I purchase black gallery frames from Amazon.com. They have a third party seller, Art To Frames, that offers every size of frame imaginable for a decent price. Doesn't beat garage sales, but it beats most anything you can find in a store. They are very good about replacing broken glass, etc. I've only had that happen once. I do some exhibiting and have found them to be an excellent source. Just go to Amazon.com and type "ArttoFrames.com" in the search box.

I have purchased a dozen or so frames from Amazon's Art to Frame - all have been as advertised and the prices are pretty good. Micheals is another good source (with coupons of course) but Art to Frame has the odd sizes....
