These are not the best quality pictures, but I thought it was cool that the Swallows decided to build their nest on our home. It's kind of cool looking they take mud balls and stick them all together to make their nests. It was hard because every time I came over to get the picture they would take off. I set the camera up on the tripod and put it on remote then I left so they would come back. I was able to snap the picture just in time in #2 to get a picture of the bird sticking it's head out.
Looks like a good opportunity for a tripod and a remote shutter release!
You could really get some great close-up shots that way.
This is great...it is a Cliff Swallow. We had them in our pole barn a few years ago with the Barn Swallows. They are a great bug eater and fun to watch!
That is neat! I didn't realize that they built mud nests like this.
Looks like they took pottery class.
these are cool!
We have what I thought to be house swallows taking up residence in the corner of the porch, but their nest isn't as enclosed as this one... so now I'm not sure. The birds are colored as yours are, however.
I'm going to employ the tripod and remote shutter method in hopes of getting MUCH better pics than I did through the window the other day! LOL
These are cool... and it's very good luck to have them grace your home with their presence. Did ya know that!?? :D
