Sushi was on the menu today, I guess, and the fresher, the better. I thought maybe this pelican had bitten off more than he could chew - and so did his friends - they waited to see if he might drop it - but he managed to gag it down!

outstanding shots. i was shocked to see it go down in the final shot. i guess they have quite the stretching gullet. gary

Thanks, Gary - I have a few later photos where it appears the fish has descended into its stomach. Pretty amazing.
