Rules of buy and sell. People need to read rules of Buy Sell Classifieds.

Items not being marked Sold. I the it is more appropriate if negotiations are made through PM. There are too many posts back and forth too try and read through that has not interest too me. Initial contact is ok but come on.

What I have observed is that most do not honor the rules of the B/S board it seems to be the Jerry Springer of the net. Even when asking not to post and to PM it then goes far afield.

Make two actions:
1) Send a PM to the seller (Private Message).
2) Post a reply publicly that says you're interested and you sent a PM with specific questions, confirmation of payment and / or contact information such as where to send and your personal email.

If you want to buy a lens that is listed for sale you can reply to the post by saying you want to buy and ask the poster to PM (private message) you with the details and answers to any specific questions you may have. Although some sellers may not check back often enough (why not?) so it may be a good idea just to PM the seller directly and post a reply saying "I want to buy, PM sent".
If you want to express an interest to buy a specific lens that is not listed for sale then you create a new message and preface the title with WTB (want to buy) as in:
WTB: Nikon 50mm f/1.4D

Every UHH page has an "All Sections" link at the bottom of the page. Just as every UHH page has a <Home> button at the top of the page. Either method gives a list of all sections where you then need to "subscribe".

This is one I see a lot of jerks doing: “ Don't ruin other people's classifieds topics with criticism of their asking price or the "righteousness" of the offer. ”
Also see a lot of people posting there’s phone numbers and email addresses on the open forum. That’s a very bad idea for a host of reasons.
