I look for color and form in nature. These are extreme close ups of the plumage on Wood Ducks. They were taken in the wild and cropped.

The square crop of #2 is more appealing for me; I think because it contains, creates a sense of order, of all the colors and lines. My eye stays in the boundaries more easily. Oh, and also no one element dominates in size like it does in #1.

A lovely study, though perhaps more impact if part of a series? Your attention to details and "small stuff" (such as the shots you posted to Steve's happiness thread) is inspiring!

Nice abstracts that I could imagine on the cafe walls at our local bird reserve. Very attractive colours and a change from the average duck photo for sure.

Thanks. I have printed (8 x10 ) a couple and hung them in my work room.

These images have a very inviting visual effect. I like the abstract colors, along with the abstract line work. Very visually interesting image.

magnified to the point where they become unrecognizable to me. That makes them abstracts and, as such, they are colorful and intriguing. They make you wonder what they are and they are very pleasing to look at. Success.
