I'm sorry Angela, but the way things were going yesterday, my reply may be out there somewhere, probably on another person post! :) I finally just gave up and shut down, before I got into any more trouble! :) I really appreciate you responding, and you must have seen some stray pieces of mealworms in it's mouth as sometimes they can be a little messy! I told Merry that twice in about two weeks one has attempt to get in the van through a partially open window with me sitting in the seat and part of the camera lens projecting out of the window! Thanks again for commenting not once but twice, and you guys take care!
I'm sorry Angela, but the way things were going ye... (show quote)

LOL... Corky, I love hearing about your computer adventures and I bet that little wren that was going after you in your car wanted more worms!! That's awesome!!
I bought a block of mealworms, thinking they'd be thrilled and they want no part of it...
Hope you didn't get hit with that storm, looks like a noreaster is coming tonight and tomorrow!

Just give the birds a little time to find out what they missing. Angela! On the subject of the wrens, Angela, I opened the tool shed door last week and one was in the shed, and on the computer subject I'm afraid it was my fault this time. Lets see - I called at least one person by the incorrect name and posted on someone else's thread thinking that it was mine. Seems like both of us had wren posts, and when one response popped up on the reply list I immediately answered it---and after a couple I realize that was not my post :( Guess that what's happens when you try to do two many things at one time! O well--- have managed to do a little better today--I think! Oh, and on the weather we have had quite a bit of rain and think they are calling for more and now the very high tide makes sense--- the coming nor'easter. With the high tide I managed to drag the old jon boat into the water this morning and put new nesting material into the wood duck boxes, so now we are open for business! On a more sad note haven't seen the oriole since Monday, so maybe he's heading your way and that reminds me, someone on the hog from Long Island mentioned that he had found a vacant oriole nest on his property, so their still may be hope! Hope the nor'easter doesn't do you any damage and take care!

Hahahaaaa.... always an adventure with you, but as long as you can laugh and you make me laugh.... it's all good!!! Are you serious, there was a wren in your shed???!! I'm guessing he was looking for more worms! I hope they go for those worms, I bought 3 worm cakes and not even the starlings seemed interested and they eat anything and everything! Rain for the next three days, just hope the wind isn't as strong as they're saying, last thing I need is a tree coming down.
Sorry about your orioles... it's too early for them to come up by me, but when they do, I hope them make another nest in my tree. The one they made a few years ago was way up high and no way for me to reach it.

Take care my friend and stay safe!!

Angela, We also tried several worm cakes and it took them quite a while to finish one off . After that they seem to frequent then a little more often, but not nearly as often as they went for the ones in the basket, and there was really a wren in my shed and it was not the first one and they also like to go into the garage if I happen to leave the door open-- they are so very inquisitive!

That's amazing they your wrens are so inquisitive!!! I have quite a few that visit daily, but they seem to go for the suet. Next time I'm out, I'm going to buy a small bag of the worms and give them a try. Thanks Corky!

Glad the pups are doing well and hope you guys are also, Val, but think we are getting to old to travel by air and we could never leave our little Jack Russell, Bella. We have a little self contained Camper van and she goes with us just about everywhere and our neighbors laugh and call it Bella's van, and there is some truth in it because we just are not happy leaving her behind! Beside what would happen to the Oriole? :-) Take care and always great to hear from you!

HI Corky I think I must have got you mixed up with someone else as I was asked about info on where Doc Martian is filmed as they were coming over later in the year. I do not like to leave my dogs either and now I have Blue he is too young to be left as I am getting his manners instilled in him , besides that they are my companions. You must keep your eye on the Oriole in case he gets a mate and decides to stay.... You and Ellen take care also....
